Ive waited for this moment for as long as I can remember.

I dont know whether it is happening or just an illusion.

I fear that I wont be able to accept it if it is just a 'failed test'.

But I will be for sure be over the moon if it is true.

I'll wait a little more for you ok.

Be there for me, will you...???

Ever since I had an expensive hair bill done at a well-known hair salon, seriously I

had a terrible phobia.

10 years ago, when I had my waist-length hair, my 2nd sister decided to treat me for

a haircut. However I ended up doing perming.

Remember Coco Lee's hair in one of her MTV, "Before I Fall In Love", soundtrack for

the movie Runaway Bride...???

Well, I wanted something like that. But alas, my hair got all frizzy, dry, brittle and

HORRIBLE.

After bearing with the wild mane for weeks, I took the drastic decision and chop it off

just before I entered polytechnic.

And silly me ended up doing the same mistake last year. Although it cost me such a

bomb (which I truly regret...) my hair wasnt as brittle as the last time.

I grew the hair till the curls wear off.

And I kept it that way till my wedding day.

And now after making the decision to wear the hijab, the husband playfully told me

to cut it shorter as I have not had short hair since...... 2004..??

So after deep thought and contemplating, I took the jump!!

But the decision came to a halt coz first, I do not want to go back to those top, well-

known salons and they end up pushing their product instead of giving me good

service.

Second, I cant be showing hair already, right..??

And so.... I finally found this salon, AN -NISA MUSLIMAH SALON, located just behind

Sultan Mosque,opposite Zam Zam Restaurant.

As the name suggest, it caters strictly to muslimahs and after what the lady did to my

hair, I have to say, Muslimahs, go give it a try!!

Prices are affordable and the lady is friendly too.

Well, I may not be showing my new hair to the public already but the hubby loves it

and thats what is important!!

:)

Early childhood industry is definitely something thats growing tremendously. Sadly to

say, it doesnt go the same to my interest.

10 years back when I first started taking the course, it was indeed exciting. Well, we

were the 2nd batch to take up the course when it was first started in 1999 at Ngee

Ann Poly. So the "action" aura lingered around us!!

Hahahha!!

But fast forward to now, that interest is dying.

I still love being with kids. Unfortunately, when I was robbed of my interest in

teaching 5 years ago and was 'banished' to this admin/management office since

then, that's when I realised I need to get out of this mundane life.

Bored to the core.

Having to face stacks and stacks of papers really adds up to the already monotonous

life.

Like many other early childhood educators (or maybe a minority) who have since left

the education industry to become sterwardess...... civil servants.....volunteers, I guess

its time I should bid a bitter farewell too.

It may not be easy. Ive been "playing with the kite" for the past 3 years.

I dont know when to let go.

Like what the husband suggests, do part-time teaching and use the other half to

pursue my other interest in make-up and bridal service.

I would kill two lizards with one stone...aite..??

Cliche..?? Maybe but wadaheck.

The husband is willing to put in the capital once Im really ready.

At this moment, Im building up my portfolio for "brides.blush by Dollhouse Cribz"

My baby company which offers engagement, soleminisation, dinner and proms

services.

However, please do not compare mine with other bridal/wedding services that you

can find out in the market.

brides.blush is still new and in fact, a freshie.

brides.blush by Dollhouse Cribz stick to the philosophy of

" We dont change your look, we enhance your beauty..."

This is in line of my personal belief that a bride shouldnt look too made up.

A bride should look her radiant best with the minimal make-up.

You certainly do not want your guests to get shocked at your OTT make up, right..???

So if you are into the "Beauty in Simplicity" philosophy, let brides.blush be a part of

your memorable day!!!

Photos of brides.blush outfit can be found in "MY WEDDING DIARY" album.

Tell me what else I have to do prior to the DAY...??

Besides the preparation of outfits...accesories...bed...cards and other miscellaneous

stuffs, friends have been asking me.....

"Have you been to do facial..??"

" Have you gone for mandi lulur..??"

"Brazilian waxing maybe...??"

"How about tummy slimming...??"

Seriously, I NEVER been to any of the above prior to my wedding.

I am actually tempted to go for the tummy slimming but never did so due to my very

tight working schedule.

So dear friends, I really dont know how important it is for me.

Should I go or just forget about it and do my own scrubbing...??

But please dont suggest Brazilian waxing.

Thank you very much.

I called off my wedding due to a lot of differences and simply no mutual respect at

all. Words that he used, the treatment, overly possesive towards my life had taken a

great toil on me.

I simply couldnt take the pressure any longer.

People gave me snide remarks, rude stares and of course the brick bats came

endlessly.

However, the pressure I received from him, family and "external society" (READ:

makcik2x kepo) was unbearable.

Thus, I made up my mind and made the ultimatum.

I wanted OUT from the wedding.

And I got my wish......

Well....THAT was 3 years ago when I was supposed to get married on 7th April 2007.

Fast forward to 2010, with Allah's blessing, Im looking forward to spending my life

with a man whom I personally picked.

His faith was his strongest point and due to that he IS THE ONE.

People may say, its too early to judge a man's quality before marriage.

And I cant agree more.

However, I seek Allah's blessing to grant me endless faith, strength and patience to

overcome the problems and obstacles that will happen in the marriage.

Remember the Three Little Pigs story..??

The stubborn wolf tried to blow down even the strongest brick house.

Same goes to marriage.

No matter how strong the bond in the marriage is, there will be external factors that

will try to destroy it.

I really appreciate the doas and prayers from my family, friends and close contacts.

Thank you and lets seek HIS blessing that I will reach my destination safely and

continue on in the journey till eternity.

Insya Allah.

:)

My ex-students from the centre just lost their father today.

The father had battled with lung cancer for almost 3 years.

He was 44.

I just cannot imagine the anguish the mother is going through now.

With four children to raise on her own (age 12, 9, 7 & 5) is must be very tough on her.

And for all the young children to handle the death of their own father, its just simply

heartbreaking.

Although I never communicate with the father directly  when the kids were in my

centre, the wife, on the other hand was a pleasant lady. In fact the relatives of these

kids were very nice people.

From the grandmother to the aunt, they really showed respect to all the teachers

here.

There was once when I saw the father, on one occassion when he was waiting for his

only daughter (now 9 years old) from the school bus at the void deck while Im

walking to the train station.

From a dashing, well-dressed father figure, he looked forlorn in thick windbreaker,

hair gone and sunken cheeks. He went from a well-built gentleman to a scrawny and

frail frame.

It touched my heart that despite his condition he still patiently wait for his favourite

child from school.

To Mrs Tan and family, we may believe in different faith but still my condolences to

you, Darrick, Dareen, Darrell & Darren.

Be strong.

I'll keep this entry short coz first Im rushing through some income taxs filing

calculation and I am simply so irate over this matter.

Remember about some time back when I rant about this online seller who sells

headscarves...??

I was hunting for a white hijab and when I saw one that was 'just perfect' in her

website, I placed an order and was told that the supply will arrived in one week's

time, insya-Allah.

(what she had written down)

So, I placed my faith in this seller, judging from her written word.

And that was in February 2010.

After waiting for almost ONE month, she sent me an inbox message saying the

supplier sent in the wrong colour and therefore have to wait longer.

For how long..?? She didnt mention.

Last week, I sent a message thru her Multiply inbox telling her that it has taken way

too long and I need the hijab urgently. And I also added that if it is going to take

another few more weeks, I rather have my TWENTY dollars back.

And guess what..???

Up till today, NO reply from her.

20 buckeroos may not seem THAT big but if she had 10 customers placing the same

order, she would make 200 rocks in a day!!

Seriously, I really wanted to publish the website name here but I held my back my

anger.

If YOU are reading this, please get back to me ASAP.

You have my number.

Due to that, I have resorted to buy my own white hijab.

Call me impatient but you dont expect me to wait another month, do you...??

Once Im ready to stash away my office attire and crying kids, this is what I'll switch

into:

A professional make-up artist & stylist.

*winx*

Finding a new protege ever since I stopped doing ftreelance modelling wasnt that

difficult although at first I was actually scouring a number of suitable models for the

outdoor shoot we had recently.

The theme was garden wedding and since I was given the freedom to choose a

particular concept relating to garden, I chose the greenery.

Thus...nude/bronzy make-up...flirty & playful.

And so...she was chosen to be the most suitable model..!!!

Who also happens to be my brother-in-law's sister!

The perfect model for the style on that day's assignment.

People say...moving on is the best to forget all those rough patches in your life but

use the episodes as a learning moment.

You may have lost something but

you gain something more rewarding than the previous one.

Jason Mraz sings...

"It takes some lost before you found me..."

*winkx*

Even when promises are meant to be broken...even when hearts are already broken,

life wont stop when he/she left you.

Instead, it takes a turn to make you realise, the grass is indeed greener on the other

side.

The promise that someone made with me, to be there on my big day....

Will it be a reality..will it be fulfilled or its just an empty promise...??

For whatever reasons it may be, I dont want to ask for more.

Just as long as he gives me his blessings and continues to do so even when Im here,

sharing my life with someone.......

but not with him.

3 years back, I experienced... a very bad experience on buying stuffs online.

And its from locally own "online boutique".

Remember EPICERIE....???

Fast forward to 2010.......

Now...Im not trying to slam anyone here, particularly the person I bought that stuff

from.

According to the website that I scanned through BEFORE making the purchase was

that the item should be arriving in ONE week's time from 31 January 2010.

I made my payment on the 04 February 2010.

Ive been waiting for 22 days.... Does that mean I have to wait till exactly a month

before I get ONE piece of item...??

Blame me if you think Im impatient.

I will NOT publish the person's name or Multiply ID here coz I still believe she will

still send the stuff over but I wont wait for long.

Personal messages to her remained unanswered till today.

The item may not be expensive but its the honesty that matters.

So dear 'seller'..... please get back to my PM as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Coz there's a limit to my patience.
